Do I need to have the Samsung Wallet app open to receive money via Tap to Transfer?

No. You do not need to have Samsung Wallet open to receive money via Tap to Transfer. 

Tap to Transfer - Samsung Cash user : Can be received from any screen, including when the screen is off.

Tap to Transfer - Samsung Cash user : Receiver should open Samsung Wallet and select preferred card and authenticate

For Tap to Transfer users receiving money must have their payment screen open and their card selected. Please also ensure both sender and receive have NFC enabled.
